The Reason Most People Don't Do Great
Exercises such as Fitness Walking
Well, it's connected to our mentality about exercising. The word 'Exercising' brings up images of sweaty, hardworking, and unhappy people lifting weights in a smelly gym, and it sounds like a lot of work. However, exercising means simply walking initially, and doesn't mean you're going to have to pump iron for a few hours every day. Lots of things are considered exercising, from playing a pick-up game of basketball to walking briskly to just taking a walk around a few blocks.
Studies have found that 30 minutes of exercise every day is enough to keep you healthy and fit. And that half hour doesn't even have to be all in one go. You can skip rope for ten minutes in the morning or take a walk for ten minutes after lunch. Then take a walk around the block for ten minutes when you get home in the evening and take care of all of your exercise for the day. A step further is to indulge in fitness walking, which means you briskly walking for at least 20 minutes a session.
'But wait a minute,' you say, 'How can walking be good for you'? I walk every day now! The average American walks for only about 1/3 of a mile every day. But, fitness walking is a fantastic way to lose weight, especially because it's so easy to do. If you want to go swimming you have to go to a pool, change clothes, swim, change again, and go home or to work. However if you're taking part in fitness walking all you have to do is walk out the door of your home or whereever you work.
Fitness walking is also an appealing exercise choice because it's low-impact and virtually injury-free, and it's a great warm up for running or jogging. Remember, Fitness walking is also easy to do anywhere and fit into any schedule. So if you walk fifteen minutes to work every morning and fifteen minutes back every evening, you've already taken care of your exercise for the day! This is the easy way to lose weight and stay healthy.
Make sure you discipline yourself everyday for 20 days to your walking... and after that you'll love it so much, you'll miss it when you skip!
